Aurangabad, April 25: Steppers Sewa Group of Stepping Stones High School has extended help to the needy in this challenging time of Covid-19 pandemic. Several families sleep hungry in their homes owing to restrictions on movement or are stranded at Covid Centers or at different places in the city. SEWA Group is helping these people by providing transportation and monthly grocery kits.

The Group members are tirelessly meeting and working each day on how they can best support the community in this crisis.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made a great impact on marginalized section of the society like wage labourers, the homeless, slum dwellers, several low-income groups as well as the elderly who live alone during lockdown. Apart from transportation, the Stepper’s Sewa Group has tried to ease the distress by donating one month grocery kits to these people.

Steppers engage school’s 35 buses inside and outside the city for this noble cause. At the initial phase of lockdown these buses helped the people stuck in the city reach their homes safely. The Sewa Group along with the teachers at Stepping Stones donated part of their salaries though they knew it is challenging for their families as well. The Group is together as a community willing to focus on what each member can do each day to make a small difference.
