Sunday turns scorching as temperature hits new high

After an early spike in temperatures in the first week of March, the second week of April has now recorded the highest temperature of this summer so far. On Sunday, the sun blazed intensely, with the maximum temperature soaring to 40.4°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.8°C. This marks the highest temperature of the season. Last year, on April 12, the maximum temperature had reached 41.4°C.

From 12 noon to 5 pm, most roads were nearly deserted, reflecting the impact of the rising heat on daily life. Since April 1, temperatures have been gradually increasing, leading to a mix of humid and dry conditions. Meanwhile, weather experts have predicted a further rise in temperatures throughout April.

— March 7: 38.2°C

— March 12: 39.8°C

— April 11: 39.4°C

— April 12: 40.4°C
