Aurangabad, Oct 13:

The government sent a letter to the divisional administration on September 9 to clear the way for talathi recruitment in Aurangabad, Nanded and Beed. However, it''s been a month, but no appointment letters have been issued to the selected candidates. The divisional administration has sought guidance from the government in this regard.

In 2019, a recruitment drive was implemented to fill the posts of talathis in the state. Recruitment process has been completed in Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Osmanabad and Latur districts. Recruitment in 8 districts of the state was stopped due to the government resolution dated May 4, 2020. The state finance department issued a letter while the recruitment process was in its final stages. It was ordered that no department other than the health department and the medical education department should carry out the recruitment drive. However, the government last month issued instructions to complete the Talathi recruitment process without delay. Aurangabad has 49 seats. All the procedures here have been completed and appointment orders are yet to be issued.

Pending issue

Recruitment issue is pending in Aurangabad, Nanded, Beed, Nandurbar, Dhule, Solapur and Satara division. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court in this case. The district administration informed the candidates that this has delayed the recruitment process. The state government will take up the matter in court in connection with the petition, said deputy commissioner of revenue Parag Soman.
