Teachers take out morcha in rains

Chhatrapati Sambhajiangar: Members of Adarsh Shikshak Sanghatna (ASS) took out a morcha to the divisional commissioner's office on Sunday for their different demands including a probe into irregularities of teachers and employees of Zilla Parishad (ZP) transfer.

Braving the rain, the teachers participated in the agitation this afternoon. They were also holding placards. A delegation comprising the founder president of the teachers union Dilip Dakhne, State unit president Shivajirao Sakhre, Anjum Pathan, Women wing chief Deepa Deshpande, its Marathwada president R R Joshi and Chandu Ghodke submitted a memorandum to the officers of divisional commissioner.

The officers assured the teachers of forwarding the memorandum to the Chief Minister, Deputy CM, School Education Minister, Rural Development Minister and Education Department secretary. The agitators also met the opposition leader to the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve and submitted a memorandum.

The district level and women representatives of the union came here from Raigad, Solapur, Latur, Gadchiroli, Nashik, Beed, Jalna, Kolhapur, Parbhani, Dharashiv, Ahmednagar, Pune and Buldhana participated in the Morcha.

Shikshak Parishad, Juni Pension Sanghatna, Prahar Sanghatna, Sahakar Shikshak Sanghatna, Madhyavarti Sanghatna, Shikshak Sangh, Castribe Sanghatna, Retired Employees Association and other unions have supported to the agiation.

Babulal Rathod, Sanjiv Deore, Vishnau Gadekar, Shivaji Erande, Anil Viche, Babita Narwate and others worked for the success of the Morcha.
