Aurangabad, Dec 26: Anti-social elements on Friday midnight damaged a cross installed by the Christian community at Shantipura fifteen days ago. The residents approached police who allegedly threatened complainants following which a tense situation had been created.

The cross was installed and unveiled in view of the Christmas. After Christmas celebrations, it was cut and taken away. Angry community members installed a small cross at the place today and offered prayers for peace. PSI P S Bhagile and others urged the citizens to maintain peace and promised to act against the anti-social elements.
