Aurangabad, Dec 1:

The flying squad of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) today paid surprise visits to different areas, falling under the jurisdiction of Cantonment sub-division, and file cases of power thefts against three consumers.

The squad caught red-handed Jagdish Deepak Hatagale (resident of Amrutsai Plaza, behind Railway Station) while stealing the power. In the second surprise visit, the team spotted Ramesh Bhaskar Deshmukh (of Ankushnagar in Jogeshwari) stealing 1,251 units of power. The squad also caught red-handed a lady consumer for stealing 2,500 units of power.

The assistant engineer of the flying squad Yogesh Khomane has filed cases at Cantonment police station.
