Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

“Training develops the capabilities of an individual, which helps in increasing efficiency. It provides spiritual satisfaction as well,” said Kabir Palshikar, Manager of Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA).

He was speaking at a workshop organised for teachers at S B College of Arts and Commerce, recently. Incharge principal Anand Chaudhary presided over the function. Vice-Principal Dr Sandeep Chaudhary and Academy’s Evaluation and Assessment Center coordinator Ejaz Syed were present.

Palshikar further said that MSFDA was established as per the guidelines of National Education 2020. “Through this academy, teachers in the higher education sector are being trained across the State. The students are benefiting a lot from it. The MSFDA has signed MoUs with various educational institutions as well as non-governmental organizations in the State,” he said.

He said that factors like the emotional competence of students, teaching techniques, examination methods, capacity development, and student-centred teaching were included in the workshops organised by the institute.

In his introductory speech, Dr Sandeep Chaudhary, Brand Ambassador of the Academy said “Keeping in mind the needs of the new society, there is an urgent need to teach in the higher education sector by taking students into confidence.”
