Three unidentified men attacked a truck driver with a machete and looted Rs 11,200 near Rameshwar Nursery around midnight on April 9.

The victim, Sopan Talekar of Galleborgaon, was on his way from Sangamner to visit his sister in Garaj, Vaijapur Tehsil. The assailants stopped his truck on the highway, threatened him with weapons, and snatched Rs 10,000 cash and a mobile worth Rs 1,200. Sopan sustained injuries on his back and hand during the scuffle. Locals rushed him to a private hospital in Vaijapur. A case has been registered at Shiu Police Station.
