Aurangabad, Nov 2:

Members of two groups violently clashed with each other at Shivajinagar on Monday night, of which one alleging foul play against their daughter by the in-laws.

In all, five persons of both groups were severely injured and were admitted in the hospitals. The police have arrested some persons of both groups.

According to the detail, Uttam Chavan’s son Rajesh from Shivajinagar is a lecturer. He is married to a girl of the Rathod family from Girnar Tanda. The girl is pursuing D.Ed education presently. However, her parents and relatives alleged that the Chavan family is mentally and physically torturing her frequently since their daughter''s marriage is mentally and physically torturing her. Both the family had a dispute over the issue for the past few days.

Meanwhile, the girl went to college today morning and did not return till evening. Hence, the Chavans called the Rathod family members to inquire whether she had gone there. However, the Rathod family members with some of their relatives came in a tempo to Shivajinagar alleging that the Chavan family has disappear their daughter. Around 100 to 150 persons of both the groups gathered and violently clashed with each other. Five persons of both the groups were injured in the fight. The Chavan family''s injured members were admitted in the Sigma Hospital and Rathod family in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Meanwhile, Pundliknagar police station PI, Ghansham Sonawane, PSI Vikas Khatke, Prabhakar Sonawane, and Jawaharnagar PI Santosh Patil, PSI Bharat Pachole, and riot control team rushed to the spot on receiving the information. The police dispersed the gathered mob and arrested some of them from both groups. A case was being registered at Pundliknagar police station till late night.
