Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Unauthorised plots and constructions in 313 villages under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (CSMRDA) limits will be regularised.

For this, a survey of constructions and vacant plots has been started. Divisional and Metropolitan Commissioner Dilip Gawde on Wednesday said that there would be a team of students from the Government College of Engineering for the survey. He urged the tehsildars and bloc development officers (BDOs) to cooperate the them.

A meeting was held at the Commissionerate regarding unauthorised plots and construction surveys in the authority area with the tehsildar, BDOs, Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Sub-Registrar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation and officers. Metropolitan Planner Harshal Baviskar, Co-Planner Ravindra Jayabhaye and others were present.

The concerned Land Records Department should conduct a survey to regularise small plots and constructions under the Gunthewari rules in the CSMRDA area. If there are unauthorised constructions in large plots, instructions should be given to start the process of regularisation.

If unauthorised plots and constructions are regularised, it will be easier for the needy to get loans from banks on these properties. The process will be easier for those who want to sell the property. Gawde appealed for public awareness in this regard as the value of regularised properties is likely to increase.
