University library to keep books in quarantine for 24 hrs as COVID measures

Aurangabad, Nov 12:

The Central Library of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will keep books received from students in quarantine for 24 hours as part of precautionary measures of Novel coronavirus.

It may be noted that the library that was shut down due to COVID spread will be reopened in the current month-end.

There was a demand from students union to reopen the library. Bamu decided to re-start it from December first.

Library administration is doing the planning because of COVID for safe issuance and return of books, the seating arrangement in the reading room.

Those books which will be returned by students and teachers will be kept in quarantine for 24 hours. Only limited students will be given permission to study in the reading room.

Books may be damaged if sanitized, so, all books returned by students will be kept in a trolley for 24 hours quarantine and then its rack. A proposal will be submitted to the administration to purchase trolley.
