Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: District-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, jointly organised by MGM University and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, was held at Rukmini Hall in the presence of dignitaries on Thursday.

Vice Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, Secretary of Yashwantrao Chavan District Center Nilesh Raut, District Youth Officer Sankalp Shukla, Dr H N Sonkamble, National Service Scheme Coordinator Dr R R Deshmukh and others were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal said although this is a competition, students were provided with an opportunity to express their views through this medium. He said that while comparing our country with other countries, students also need to think about what they can do for their country.

"When the thoughts of youth are put into action, they make a contribution to society. Our country will become a developed India in the year 2047 and everyone needs to contribute their best for this," he said. Through this competition, students will get the opportunity to present their views in the country's Parliament in New Delhi as well as in the State Legislative Assembly.
