Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Residents of Kumbhephal, Karmad, Ladgaon, Warzhadi, Jaipur, and Bhabarda have strongly opposed the government’s proposal to bring their villages under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction. Gram Panchayats have also registered their protest, demanding that the villages remain under the Karmad Police Station’s jurisdiction.

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police Commissionerate recently submitted a proposal to the Director General of Police (DGP), recommending the inclusion of: Chikalthana Police Station’s entire jurisdiction, MIDC Shendra and Auric City and Several villages currently under Karmad Police Station. Officials argue that the move will improve law enforcement and administrative efficiency, but villagers fear it will lead to increased bureaucracy and loss of local control.

They stated that if the government ignores their protest, they will launch an intensified agitation.
