Aurangabad, Dec 26:

The police seized a sharp-edged sword and a knife from a car of an industrialist during the Nakabandi imposed on Thursday night. A case has been registered at the Cidco MIDC police station. The accused has been identified as Gaurav Arun Chavan (South City, Waluj).

Police said, the city police imposed Nakabandi at various chowks in the city. The police stopped accused Gaurav’s car (MH 20 CU 5655) at Cidco N-1 police chowki. During the search, the police found a sharp-edged sword and a knife in the car. During interrogation, he told the police that he is a native of Uttar Pradesh and owns a company at Waluj MIDC. It is the custom in his village to carry weapons, he said.

A case has been registered at the Cidco MIDC police station based on the complaint lodged by hawaldar Laxman Pandurang Rathod. PSI, Meera Lad is further investigating the case.
