Aurangabad, Dec 25:

A youth stabbed his girlfriend as she was constantly insisting him for getting married, at Jogeshwari in Waluj area on Thursday. The girl sustained minor injuries in the attack while the youth is at large.

Sangeeta (23, name changed) is married and has two children. She had an affir with Dashrath Nikam (23, Jogeshwari) for the past three and a half years even after her marriage. She left her husband and was living with Dashrath at Waluj area. He worked in a company at Waluj industrial area. On Thursday afternoon, Sangeet went to meet Dashrath at Jogeshwari and insisted him to get married with her. However, Dashrath refused to marry her telling her that she is already married and has two children. Hence, they both had a severe quarrel over the issue of marriage there. In the fit of rage, Dashrath attacked Sangeeta with a knife. Sangeeta sustained minor injuries on hand and head. The nearby residents rushed and rescued Sangeeta from the clutches of Dashrath. He is at large while the MIDC Waluj police have launched a massive manhunt for him. Head constable Karbhari Deore is further investigating the case.
