Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A 28-year-old young man, who consumed poisonous liquid on Saturday, died while undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday early morning. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Gorakhnath Surase (Teachers Colony in Gangapur).

Santosh had consumed the poisonous liquid on Saturday at 11.15 pm. After learning about the incident, the family members rushed him to sub-district hospital in Gangapur. However, after giving first aid, the doctors referred him to GMCH for treatment. However, he died on Sunday at 5 am.

After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. Accordingly, the last rites upon him were performed on Sunday at 11 am. He leaves behind a family comprising parents, one brother, and one sister. The Gangapur police station registered a case of accidental death on Sunday afternoon. Further investigation is being done by assistant sub-inspector Dinkar Thore.
