Aurangabad, April 25:

A 21 years old youth was stabbed to death at Mayur Park area on Saturday at around 9.30 pm over petty dispute between friends. The deceased has been identified as Yash Somesh Mahendrakar (21, SBOA School area, Hudco) while the accused as Raj Navdev Jadhav (19, near Chhatrapati Hall, Harsul area).

In the complainant lodged by friend Shrikant Satish Shikare (19, Hirnagar, Mayur Park), who was present on the spot, mentioned that he was sitting in front of Bikaner Sweet Shop at Tuljabhavani Chowk when his friends Raj Jadhav, Atharva Takalkar and Omkar Kolthe came there. Raj told Shrikant that he will beat Yash Mahendrakar today and Shrikant to console him. Raj called Yash on phone and called him at Tuljabhavani Chowk. At that time, Mittal Ubale, Amay Mashke and Pushakar Bharambe came in a car while Yash, Vishal Raju Bhosale and Prafulla Borse on a two-wheeler. Raj attacked Yash with a knife and stabbed him in stomach. As Yash was severely injured, Vishal and Prafulla took him to AIMS Hospital. However, no bed was available there and hence all the friends present there except Raj took Yash to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors declared him dead after examination. A case has been registered against Raj at the Harsul police station, while PI Sachin Ingole is further investigating the case.
