Aurangabad, March 15:

The general body meeting of Zilla Parishad (ZP) will be held on March 26.

ZP president Meena Shelke will chair it. The budget is likely to be tabled in the meeting. But, it is not clear whether the meeting will be hosted offline or online mode.

Most of the department heads have done planning. The budget will be finalised in the next two day. The last year’s actual budget was Rs 49.91 crore.

The administration will have to submit the last year's revised budget and a new budget for 2021-22 before March 27.

Chief finance and accounts officer Appasaheb Chate said that the general administration department is doing planning of the GB.

The finance department officers visited the district collector to obtain information about the collection of revenue from stamp duty, land revenue and cess. He feels that there will be cost-cutting in the actual budget. The planning for irrigation and civic amenities was completed. The departments of education and health, animal husbandry and agriculture also submitted their planning.

The Construction Department is yet to submit it. No detailed planning of fund sanctioned by the District Planning Committee was submitted.
