Wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler has been ruled out of remainder of the ongoing white-ball series against Sri Lanka due to calf injury. Buttler felt tightness and discomfort after the last game where he scored a match-winning 68 in England's eight-wicket win. The Rajasthan Royals player then underwent an MRI scan in Cardiff on Thursday which revealed a small tear.
England have added Dawid Malan to their ODI squad for the succeeding three-match series against the visitors. England have already secured the T20I series ahead Saturday's third match, at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The teams will then play three ODIs, at Chester-le-Street, The Oval and Bristol.
