Former Pakistan skipper and batting great Inzamam - ul- Haq paid ultimate tribute to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on his YouTube channel. Inzy as he is fondly called pointed out reasons that made Sachin stand out from other cricketers of his generation. "I will talk about one player who was born to play cricket. I always had this feeling that he and cricket were made for each other. I am talking about ever-great Sachin Tendulkar," Inzamam said in a video on his YouTube channel.
"What surprises me the most is Sachin came in at a tender age of 16-17 years and played cricket at the international level and gave such incredible performances over the years which is only possible if the player is an extraordinary talent. In fact, if there is anything above extraordinary Sachin Tendular is that player," he added. Continuing further, the former Pakistan selector revealed that it was Sachin's self-belief which stood out.
Inzamam said that if were to him he would never allowed Sachin to retire from cricket. "Sachin was the greatest player across generation he should have played the game forever as he was a delight to watch. He should have never walked off from the cricket field Inzy said. Sachin who started his his international career in 1989 against Pakistan shouldered the responsibility of the batting line-up for much part of his career. Sachin was also an handy bowler, with leg-spin, off-spin, and medium pace deliveries in his kitty. I had faced many great leg-spinners, never had troubles in reading their googlies but it was only Tendulkar who gave me troubles and got me out many times," Tendulkar from international cricket with much fanfare at his home ground at Wankhede stadium.
