Australia National Cricket Team vs England National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Travis Head scored a blistering century on Day 2 of the first Ashes Test against England at Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The left-handed batter reached 100 in just 69 balls, the third-fastest century by an Australian in Test cricket and the second-fastest in Ashes history.

Head was asked to open the innings after Usman Khawaja was unable to start. He added 75 runs for the first wicket with Jake Weatherald, who was dismissed for 23. Head continued to attack and brought up his century with a single off Gus Atkinson in the 22nd over. He finished with 123 runs off 83 balls, including 16 fours and four sixes.

The innings marked Head’s 10th career Test century and the sixth-fastest hundred in Test cricket.  Head’s knock ended when he top-edged a pull shot off Brydon Carse, caught by Ollie Pope in the deep.
