WPL 2026 Player Auction List: The list of players for the Women’s Premier League 2026 auction has been released. The list features 194 Indian players, including 52 capped and 142 uncapped players. These players will compete for 50 slots. In addition, 66 overseas capped players and 17 overseas uncapped players will vie for 23 slots. The auction is scheduled for November 27 in New Delhi. Nineteen players have registered with a base price of Rs 50 lakh, 11 players at Rs 40 lakh, and 88 players at Rs 30 lakh. Each franchise can build a squad of up to 18 players. Across five franchises, 73 slots, including 23 overseas slots, are to be filled.

The auction will start at 3:30 PM with a marquee set of eight players. The group features Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh from India, Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr from New Zealand, Sophie Ecclestone from England, Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning from Australia, and Laura Wolvaardt from South Africa.

UP Warriorz has the largest purse entering the auction. The team has retained uncapped Indian batter Shweta Sehrawat. It also has four right-to-match options and a major rebuilding to do.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, have retained five players. Delhi Capitals, three-time runners-up, have also retained five players. Both teams have no right-to-match options left. Delhi Capitals retained Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues. Both players starred in India’s ICC Women’s World Cup title win. They were among the top performers in the knockout stages.

In previous seasons, some players received large bids. Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Smriti Mandhana was the most expensive player in WPL history. She was bought for Rs 3.4 crore before the inaugural season. Mandhana led RCB to the 2024 title. She was one of four players retained by the franchise. The others were Richa Ghosh, Ellyse Perry, and Shreyanka Patil.

Across all franchises, 17 players were retained, including seven overseas players.
