Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has accused Kohli of misbehaving with India's spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. He has been mistreated in the last three or four years and Virat Kohli has not given him a chance on important occasions.

Danish Kaneria had an exclusive interview with Jansatta.com. This time he has spoken openly about Ravichandran Ashwin. Kaneria had also recently formed his T20 XI team, in which he had Ashwin as the team’s vice-captain. He explained the reason this time. He also spoke about the comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli.

Asked about making Ashwin vice-captain, Danish Kaneria said, “I made Ashwin vice-captain for two reasons. Babar is a young captain. So, I call Ashwin a magician. He has a lot of knowledge of cricket. He is a good and capable cricketer and that is why he has been made the vice-captain. Ashwin can be a good support for a young captain. ”

He further said, “Virat Kohli did badly with Ashwin. He did not get a place in the team on many important occasions. Ashwin was not allowed to play in the final of the Test Championship. He did not play against Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. At that time, the team had to face defeat. However, now Ashwin is making a strong comeback and is back in the team. “

Danish Kaneria also talked about the comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. He said, “It would be a bit hasty to compare Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Babar Azam’s bad times are yet to come, we have to see how he gets out of this. Where did Babar Azam’s career start now? In comparison, Virat Kohli has proved himself in batting everywhere. “

“Unless Babar Azam proves himself in Test cricket, not T20 or ODI, the comparison is wrong. The day he proves himself in Test cricket, his performance will lead the team to victory, he will play 100 Tests, on that day he will have to be compared to Virat Kohli, “said Kaneria.

In the past often there has been comparisions between Kohli and Azam.

Kaneria played 61 Test matches for Pakistan and took 261 wickets at an average of 34.79. He represented the team only in 18 ODIs taking 15 wickets with an average of over 45. In Test cricket, Kaneria's best bowling performance in an innings was seven wickets for 77 runs whereas his best performance in a match was 12 wickets for 94 runs, both against Bangladesh

After allegations of being involved in spot fixing, Kaneria was given a lifetime ban by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), preventing him from playing in matches under their jurisdiction. He subsequently filed an appeal against the ban,[5] but this was rejected in July 2013.
