Aamir Khan Breaks Silence on Visiting Arijit Singh After Singer’s Retirement Announcement from Playback Singing

Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan recently visited Arjit Singh's house in West Bengal, right after singers retirement announcement from playback singing. While many people speculated that Aamir went to Arjit's house to reconsider his retirement decision, however this is not the whole truth. While speaking to media handles Aamir rejected these rumours and gave real reason behind his visit. 

Aamir told Deccan Chronicle, "I was in Murshidabad a few days ago. I wasn’t there to convince Arijit not to quit singing for films. I was there for another purpose. Though I did try my best to persuade him to reconsider, it was in vain. He seems to have made up his mind." Aamir's Son Junaid who did movies like Maharaj, Loveyapa will be star in  Ek Din, which also features Sai Pallavi in the lead role.

Aamir stated that the primary reason for his visit was to have Arijit sing the songs for his film, specifically for Junaid's character. Arijit agreed to fulfill this prior commitment, as mentioned in his retirement post, and recorded all five songs for the film.

Aamir Khan expressed his disappointment at Arijit's departure from "Ek Din," calling it "sad for films" given Arijit's talent and likability. He fondly recalled his time with Arijit, praising his work on the film's songs. Aamir Khan Productions later posted a thank you note on Instagram, acknowledging Arijit's heartfelt contribution to the music of "Ek Din," directed by Sunil Pandey and scheduled for a May release.
