Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed their first child - a baby girl on Monday. The duo became proud parents to a girl as Virat's brother Vikas Kohli took to Instagram to share a glimpse of their little one. "Happiness overboard .... angel in the house," Vikas captioned his photo.

India skipper Virat Kohli shared the news via Twitter and said both baby and mother are healthy.

"We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat," Kohli wrote.

Last year in August, the adorable couple had announced that they were expecting their first child in January 2021.
