Popular Gujarati and Hindi film actor Amit Mistry died on Friday morning after suffering a major cardiac arrest. He was 47. Amit's A Gentleman co-star actress Jacqueline Fernandez took to her Instagram story to offer her condolences. Amit, who was famous in the Gujarati theatre circuit and films, also did many Hindi films including Kya Kehna, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, 99, Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bey Yaar, A Gentleman among many others. 

He had also appeared in TV shows like Tenali Rama, Woh, Ssshhhh…Koi Hai, among others. He was recently seen in the Amazon Prime web series Bandish Bandits. He had completed the shoot of his upcoming film Bhoot Police also starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jaqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Directed by Raj and DK, The Gentleman was theatrically released in India on 25 August 2017. It received moderate reviews upon its release. The fim starred Siddharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Suniel Shetty, Darshan Kumaar and Amit Mistry in key roles. On the work front, Jacqueline will be seen in multiple films like Bachchan Pandey, Bhoot Police, Cirkus, Ram Setu and Kick 2.
