Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika to release in Japan next year

After a successful run in India, Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is all set to be released in Japan next year on the 3rd of January.

After a successful run in India, Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is all set to be released in Japan next year on the 3rd of January. On releasing the film in Japan, Vibha Chopra, Head-Global Syndication and International Film Distribution, Zee  Entertainment, said: "This epic tale of Rani Laxmibai rightly showcases her valour, strengths and sacrifices! Striking chords with the audiences across the globe, 'Manikarnika' is all set for its release in Japan. "Taking the film far and wide to unconventional territories, we intend to showcase the rich culture of India along with the story of a true hero who courageously fought for her country." 

The movie was courted in controversy ever since it was announced with the director of the film walking away in the middle of the shoot due to differences with Kangana. The movie was a money spinner at the box-office. The movie starred some of the biggest names in the industry like Atul Kulkarni, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi and Ankita Lokhande. Meanwhile, Kangana will be next seen in a sports film titled 'Panga' which is helmed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The movie is expected to hit the theatres on January 24 next year.
