Mardaani 3 Day 1 Box Office Collection: Rani Mukerji Starrer Cop Drama Makes Decent Start

Rani Mukerji's much-awaited cop drama Mardaani 3 has released in theaters on Friday and is reciving mux response from  critics and the audience. Film made decent opening on box office. On the first day film earned, Rs. 3.80 crore similar to previous installment.  In 2014, Mardaani earned Rs. 3.46 crore on its opening day. Mardaani 2 (2019) opened with Rs. 3.80 crore. Mardaani 3 has also earned approximately Rs. 3.80 crore on its first day.

Mardaani earned Rs. 35.82 crore in its lifetime, while Mardaani 2 grossed Rs. 47.35 crore. It remains to be seen if Mardaani 3 will surpass these figures. The success of Mardaani and Mardaani 2 was also due to their budgets of Rs. 21 crore and Rs. 27 crore, respectively.

Although the official budget for Mardaani 3 hasn't been disclosed, reports suggest it's between Rs. 60-75 crore. Even considering a budget of Rs. 60 crore, an opening of Rs. 3.80 crore is underwhelming.Given the mixed reviews for Mardaani 3, its box office performance over the weekend will be telling.

An X (formerly Twitter) user praised ‘Mardaani 3’ for living up to franchise expectations, lauding Rani Mukerji’s powerful performance and the gripping second half. They highlighted strong support from Mallika Prasad and Janki Bodiwala, engaging twists, and called it a solid entertainer despite a slightly underdeveloped villain backstory.

Film  tackles a major social issue head-on. According to the reviewer, the film unapologetically exposes the darker side of the system and society, with several scenes that can leave viewers numb or angry, especially those who are emotionally sensitive.
