Shefali Jariwala Was Undergoing Anti-Ageing Treatment; MCGM Says Cause of Death Still Unclear After Postmortem

Actress and model Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with the song Kaanta Laga and her stint on Bigg Boss 13, passed away late on Friday night, June 27. She was 42. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, and some others rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. 

However, the actress's postmortem has been completed at Cooper Hospital and her body has been brought to her residence in Mumbai. Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has given a shocking response after the postmortem said, "the cause of death is still not clear." The postmortem procedure was conducted by a state government doctor, MCGM and the doctors reserved their opinion.

Meanwhile, Shefali Jariwala has been undergoing special cosmetic treatment for the past five to six years to look young. Sources to NDTV said she was receiving an anti-ageing treatment. The treatment improves the candidate's skin texture, giving her a young look. 

The drugs used during the treatment process mainly involve Vitamin C and Glutathione. Glutathione is used to bring fairness and detox the body, a doctor said, reported NDTV. The doctor said these medications do not affect the heart and are used for cosmetic treatments.

The police have recorded the statements of 8 individuals, including family members, domestic staff, and doctors from Bellevue Hospital. According to Mumbai Police officials, no evidence of any dispute or foul play has emerged in the investigation so far.

Minister of State Yogesh Kadam said, "Whatever incident has occurred, all information has been collected by the police, and the investigation is underway. If any foul play is suspected, or if any complaint comes forward, we will definitely investigate from that angle as well..."

Shefali first rose to fame with her 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, which became a huge hit. She later appeared in the film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. She subsequently transitioned to television, participating in the dance reality show Nach Baliye with her husband, Parag Tyagi, and later appearing on Bigg Boss 13.
