Sunny Deol to Play Hanuman In Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana', Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi

Ramayan directed by Nitesh Tiwari is making headlines for years now and the excitement of fans gets to next level whenever they get to know about the much-awaited film. As we know that Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Shri Ram, while popular south Indian actress Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Ma Sita. As per the sources there are reports that in film the role of Lord Hanuman will be played by non-other than Sunny Deol, however, no official information was given on it. Now Sunny Deol himself has reacted to his role in the movie 'Ramayan'.

Sunny Deol has finally confirmed that he will be playing the role of Hanuman in Ramayan while giving interview to News18. When  interviewer asked Sunny if he believes in god at that time he said, "Yes, I am playing the role of Hanuman in Ramayan. And who does not believe in God? We are all here because of his grace." While talking about her role he stated, "We actors like challenging things. That's where the real fun lies. It's up to us to play the role properly and listen to the director. I work by throwing myself into the role. So the audience will believe in it. I haven't started shooting for the film yet, but it's sure to be one of the biggest films."

Nitesh Tiwari's two-part "Ramayana," slated for release in 2026 and 2027, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, supported by a strong cast including Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Arun Govil. Envisioned by Namit Malhotra (DNEG), the film aims to redefine mythological storytelling through a fusion of Bollywood (Kapoor) and South Indian (Yash) talent, coupled with groundbreaking visual effects. "Ramayana" promises to be a cinematic spectacle and a potential landmark for Indian cinema.
