Tamil actor Karthik hospitalised for breathlessness, tests negative for COVID-19

Actor Karthik has been admitted to the hospital after he developed breathlessness on Saturday evening. The actor was campaigning for the BJP-AIADMK alliance and was busy with the election work yesterday when the incident happened. He was soon admitted to a private hospital in Adyar. After the initial treatment and tests, he was declared negative for covid-19. It is expected that the hospital management will issue an official statement about his condition soon. The actor has been getting wishes from his friends from the industry and several others on social media for his speedy recovery. 

He recently took a political plunge and has been camping for the upcoming Assembly Elections. On the film front, the actor will soon be seen in Prashanth’s comeback film, Andhagan, which is the Tamil remake of the Hindi hit Andhadhun that had Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the lead. The Tamil version will Prashanth, Simran and Priya Anand as part of the star cast. The veteran actor will also be seen as the lead in the upcoming film Thee Ivan. The film will have Sukanya, Aishwarya Lekshmi, John Vijay, Suman and Singam Puli as part of the star cast and will be directed by Jayamurugan.
