Noting the meeting, Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Suhel Ajaz Khan said that economic partnership is one of the "fulcrums" of the relationship between the two countries, and a lot of emphasis has been given to it.

"There was a high-level task force meeting on investment, which met in Riyadh, and this is a task force that was formed after the 2023 visit of the Crown Prince to India. It is chaired by the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, on the Indian side, and His Royal Highness Minister of Energy on the southeast side. They met in Riyadh today, and they went over a lot of issues of mutual interest in terms of facilitating the investment. So definitely, economic partnership is one of the fulcrums of our relationship, and a lot of emphasis has been given to it," Suhel Ajaz Khan told ANI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Saudi Arabia from April 22 to 23 at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This will be PM Modi's third visit to the country, following earlier visits to Riyadh in 2016 and 2019.
