A dramatic and terrifying moment was captured on CCTV in the US state of Arkansas when a couple narrowly escaped death as lightning struck just seconds after they entered their car. The incident occurred during a sudden and intense thunderstorm, leaving both man and woman in shock but fortunately unharmed.

The heart-pounding footage shows the man and woman rushing out of their home and into their vehicle. Just as they close the doors, a powerful bolt of lightning strikes the ground mere feet away. The couple was lucky to have escaped the bolt strike, which could have had different consequences.
