Using smartphones at night can damage your eyes

Smart phones were designed to make us more productive and our lives easier. They’re designed to entertain us and provide information. But when it’s time to turn off the lights and go to sleep, the last thing our brain needs is more information and more entertainment. 

A lot of studies have been done on the effects of nighttime smartphone use, and it doesn’t look good. Using cell phone before going to sleep at night can be jeopardizing your health and has been linked to some pretty serious health risks.

Using smartphone before going to sleep at night might lead dryness in your eyes and also soon you will also notice swelling around the eyes due to this habit.

It is often seen that people keep the screen brightness of their phones at the maximum possible setting which may be damaging for your vision. 

Due to maximum brightness of the smartphone and continuous use of the phone it has a bad effect on your eyes. The light emitted from the phone is part of the full light spectrum. We’re exposed to it by the sun each day, but nighttime exposure to that same light may be damaging your vision and you will also experiences headache. 

After working for long hours in day if you use the smartphone before going to sleep at night, it will make your eyes dry and you will even notice swelling around your eyes. Excessive use of phone during night can also lead to itching and burning sensation of the eyes. It may have bad effect on the lacrimal gland of the eyes.

The pupils of the eyes start shrinking

Continuous use of the smartphone causes your eyes to water. Mobile emitting rays prove very harmful for the eyes. Continuous use of the smartphone slows down the process of blinking of the eyelid, due to which the pupils and veins of the eyes also start to shrink, due to which you will start experiencing headaches. 

Reducing mobile phone usage at night before sleeping is a great habit to cultivate. Shutting down your phone night will help upu fall asleep faster, sleep better and wake up more refreshed without the distracting beeps and vibrations throughout the night.
