5-level unlock plan: Confusion between proposal and decision creates problem for Congress minister Vijay Wadettiwar

The Disaster Management Department, headed by Cabinet Minister Vijay Wadettiwar, has come up with a detailed proposal on how to handle lockdown-unlock after June 15. Which was approved at their department meeting. The proposal was then sent to the Chief Minister's Office. However, the proposal was turned into a decision and caused a huge uproar across the state. Not a single Congress minister was willing to come forward to explain the mistake made by Wadettivar.

The Disaster Management Department prepared the proposal with a very good and scientific approach. How many oxygen beds are occupied in a district. HOw much is the covid positivity rate in a district? It was a proposal made with 5-level unlock plan. Wadettiwar is the minister of this department.

This proposal cannot be sent to the Chief Minister's Office unless it is duly approved in the meeting of his department. Accordingly, the proposal was approved in the meeting. However, in his speech, Wadettivar turned proposal into a decision. As a result, people were under the impression that the lockdown would be lifted in many districts from tomorrow. Phone calls started coming from all over the state.

Wadettiwar took a press conference and flew to Nagpur. As he was traveling he couldnt make the clarification, the office of Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte prepared a disclosure. He sent the clarification to the media on behalf of the Information Department. It was also reported that the Chief Minister's Office had revealed this.
Did the Chief Minister know that you approved the proposal and informed the media about it? Did you ask him? This question was asked to him by journalists in Nagpur.
On that, Vadettiwar said that he had given information about his department. He said that this issue was recognized in principle. But that was his brief explanation.

After this confusion, the media started questioning several Congress ministers. 'What Wadettiwar said we have not heard, many ministers from Congress avoided speaking on the confusion created by Wadettiwar. Wadettiwar's enthusiasm to speak to the media backfired him. As a result, the government also got into trouble. Many ministers are seen talking to media about the department which they have no idea about.

After the cabinet meeting, many ministers keep on informing the media about their decisions. The Mahavikas Aghadi government is made up of three parties.
Therefore, the government should create a 'media minister' to inform the media and give them the responsibility of presenting an official role. So that the government will not have to face any problem, a senior official clarified.
