70-year-old Covid patient dies in Guj; toll touches three

A 70-year-old male patient infected with SARS-CoV-2 died in Gujarats Bhavnagar early on Thursday, taking the death toll due to coronairus to three in the state.

Gandhinagar, March 26 A 70-year-old male patient infected with SARS-CoV-2 died in Gujarats Bhavnagar early on Thursday, taking the death toll due to coronairus to three in the state.

The man from Bhavnagar with a travel history of Delhi, succumbed to the coronavirus, following comorbid conditions and other several complications.

The first patient in the state to die of COVID-19 was that of a 67 year male with comorbid conditions. The second patient was an 85-year-old woman from Ahmedabad to die die of the disease on Wednesday night.

The total count of corona positive cases in Gujarat also rose to 43.

The health authorities have had a total of 761 samples tested so far for the COVID-19 19. A total of 31,495 have been quarantined in Gujarat.
