Amravati News: Moving Bus Catches Fire Near Daryapur Railway Gate; No Casualties Reported

Amravati: A 'Hirkani' bus of Daryapur depot suddenly caught fire near the railway crossing near the bus stand, creating a huge commotion. Fortunately due to the alertness of the citizens and the promptness of the fire brigade, major loss of life has been averted. The Hirkani bus of Daryapur depot was coming from Parthwada towards Daryapur on Thursday (March 12, 2026) afternoon. At around 2:30 pm, when the bus reached the railway gate near Daryapur bus stand, smoke suddenly started coming out of the bus and the bus caught fire.

As soon as the moving bus was noticed to be on fire, a huge rush broke out in the area. However, local citizens, being on the alert, immediately rushed to help. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the fire brigade of Daryapur Municipal Council and the police administration immediately reached the spot.

The fire brigade made every effort to control the fire. Fortunately, although the fire was severe, preliminary information is being received that all the passengers are safe. The incident took place in a busy area during the day, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area. The exact cause of the fire in the bus, whether it was a short circuit or some other technical fault, is currently being investigated by the police and the transport department.
