Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar Holds Janata Darbar in Baramati as Citizens Turn Out in Large Numbers
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar today held a Janata Darbar at her ‘Sahyog’ residence in Baramati, meeting citizens from across the region and listening to their grievances. The session marks her second public interaction in Baramati, continuing the legacy of the late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Sunetra Pawar prioritized addressing citizens’ concerns, particularly those of differently-abled individuals, and assured that pending housing and local development issues would be taken up. She also reviewed other public complaints and issued directives to the concerned departments for prompt action.

In a significant development for the cooperative sector, Pawar was also elected unopposed as the Chairperson of the Malegaon Cooperative Sugar Factory on March 12 in Baramati. The election is seen as important in western Maharashtra, where cooperative sugar mills play a key role in rural economy and agricultural development. With this new role, Pawar is expected to strengthen the functioning of the factory and further promote cooperative values and farmer participation in the sector, which remains a vital pillar of Maharashtra’s rural economy.
