On Friday, the price of petrol in Mumbai touched Rs 86.7 a litre and diesel went up to Rs 78.34 a litre. This was for as 20th day in a row that fuel prices saw no downward trend in India.
NCP leader Jitendra Awhad, who has consistently targeted the Modi government, has now turned his attention towards Bollywood. The Cabinet Minister has targeted Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan for his silence on the rising fuel price.
Awhad asked the actor to speak-up while re-quoting his tweet from May 2012. "T 753 -Petrol up Rs 7.5 : Pump attendant - 'Kitne ka daloon ?' ! Mumbaikar - '2-4 rupye ka car ke upar spray kar de bhai, jalana hai !!," reads the actor's old tweet from 2012
Jitendra Awhad tweeted,"Have u not refilled Ur fuel on petrol pump or u dnt look at the bill @SrBachchan It's time for u to speak hope u r not biased The price of diesel petrol has reached peak ab Mumbaikar kya kare car jalaye ya car chalaye".Earlier Awhad had targeted Akshay Kumar for his silence on the rising fuel price.
