Parents of children whose names are included in the Maharashtra RTE Merit List 2026 are advised to act promptly and complete the next steps without delay. Selected students must undergo document verification, which includes submitting an income certificate (showing annual income below Rs. 2.5 lakh), domicile certificate, caste certificate if applicable, birth certificate, and BPL card where relevant. Admission will be confirmed by the respective school only after successful verification of these documents on the portal. The department has also set a deadline for reporting to the allotted school, which must be strictly followed by all selected candidates.
The Maharashtra RTE admission results are released in four stages, beginning with the main selection list followed by multiple waiting lists. Students whose names appear in the primary merit list are eligible for immediate admission. However, those who are not selected in the first round should not lose hope, as additional chances may arise in subsequent rounds. Vacant seats are often filled through the waiting list, making it important for applicants to regularly monitor the official website for updates and further announcements regarding the admission process.
