A young man from Beed had secured a job as Agriculture Deputy Director after appearing for the State Public Service Commission’s exam. On Monday the Agriculture Department had announced section list of newly appointed class one officers.
However, in merely two days (on 13th December), it came into light that the young man had forged his caste. His Scheduled Caste certificate has been cancelled and confiscated. Because of this, his hard-earned success at the MPSC exam has met its untimely death.
Tampered with School Records
The youth, named Hrishikesh Vibhishan Bodhvad belongs to Beed Distrcit. MPSC had conducted exam to fill class one vacancies in the Agriculture Department. Bodhwad had been selected for the same under Scheduled Caste reserved category
However Amit Fulchand Tumdam (from Phuljhari, Subdivision: Ramtek, District: Nagpur) took objection at Bodhwad’s claim for the reserved seat. On 13th December Hrishikesh Bodhwad’s claim of belonging to the Mahadev Koli community (an SC community) was concluded as invalid by the SC Certificate Inspection Authority and his certificate was confiscated.
The authority found that he had erased his original caste from his school’s records and replaced it with ‘M. Ko’, ‘M. Koli’ in a different ink and handwriting. His college principal has been instructed to take foreclosure action against Bodhwade.
Claim by Another Candidate
Hrishikesh’s SC certificate has been canceled. Hence, a request has been made by candidate Amit Tumdam to Upper Chief Secretary Anup kumar to claim Bodhwade’s appointment. Amit has been ranked second after Hrishikesh in the exam.
