Mumbai: AC BEST Bus Climbs Road Divider in Lower Parel (Watch Video)

A Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus mounted over the road divider in Mumbai’s Lower Parel area on Thursday morning, March 26. A video of the accident shared on a social media platform shows an air-conditioned bus stuck on a road divider. 

The accident reportedly took place near Kamala Mills Compound, one of the most crowded commercial hubs. The unexpected incident created vehicular traffic and chaos on the road during peak hours. Meanwhile, no reports of injuries and casualties in the following accident. However, a major tragedy was narrowly averted.

Meanwhile, BEST sought a toll waiver on the buses crossing Mumbai limits. According to the Mid-Day report, BEST Chairperson Trushna Vishwasrao wrote to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde about the financial debt in the public transport sector due to tolls.
