A falooda vendor was brutally murdered in a knife attack in the Mandala area of Mankhurd in Mumbai on March 10. The 28-year-old victim is identified as Wahid alias Sonu Masibulla Shaikh. Police stated that the incident occurred around 5 pm. Shaikh was attacked by a sharp weapon by a person known to him on 30-Foot Road. The attacker attacked the victim outside the Al Madina Hotel. Police stated that the whole attack was captured on the CCTV cameras installed in the area. The footage from the CCTV has helped investigators gather crucial evidence in this case. The stabbing incident is spreading shockwaves across the locality.
After Shaikh was brutally stabbed in public, people took him to Shatabdi Hospital in Mumbai and immediately informed the police about the incident. The victim, however, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Police registered a case and have started an investigation to get justice for the victim.

A similar murder incident was reported last month. A 48-year-old man has been detained by the MIDC Police for allegedly attempting to kill his wife and assault his son following a domestic dispute in the Andheri MIDC area of Mumbai. According to officials, the confrontation began with an argument over a mobile phone and quickly escalated into a violent altercation inside their home.
Police said the quarrel initially started as a verbal disagreement but soon intensified, leading to a tense and dangerous situation within the household. After receiving information about the incident, officers responded promptly and took the accused into custody. A case has been registered against him under relevant legal provisions, and the police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact sequence of events and the circumstances that led to the attack.
The accused, identified as Santosh Rawate, allegedly attacked his 44-year-old wife, Neeta Rawate, with a sharp-edged weapon during a heated argument at their home. Their son also sustained injuries to his left hand while trying to intervene, as the accused allegedly attempted to assault him as well.
Police officials said the dispute began over checking a mobile phone and certain conversations, which further escalated tensions between the couple. In a sudden outburst of anger, the man allegedly assaulted his wife, leaving her seriously injured. She was immediately rushed to a trauma care hospital in Jogeshwari for emergency treatment. Doctors are currently monitoring her condition as she continues to receive medical care for the injuries sustained in the attack.
