Mumbai Mega Block on August 9, 2025: No Sunday Block but Night Block on Central Line; Check Details

Mumbai Sunday Mega Block: There will be no mega block on Sunday, August 10, 2025, on the Western, Harbour, and Transharbour lines. However, Central Railway (CR) has announced a special midnight block on the interviewing nights of August 9 and 10 due to girder work between Kalyan, Ambernath, and Badlapur.

CR will launch steel grinders at the Lokgram foot-over bridge (FOB) at Kalyan and de-launch the girders of the proposed ROB between Ambarnath and Badlapur. Girders will be installed between platforms 3 and 4 using a 140-ton capacity railway crane on the up and down slow line and down fast line.

The Central Railway of Mumbai Division will impose a night block from 12.10 am (Saturday/Sunday, August 10) to 6.55 am (Sunday morning, August 10).

Up and Down slow routes – between Thakurli (excluding all crossovers) and Kalyan (including platforms 1, 1A, 2, and 3).

Down fast route – Dombivali (excluding all crossovers) to Kalyan (including platform 4 and the bypass route). 

From 01:15 a.m. to 04:15 hrs as follows: Up and Down South-East lines – between Ambernath and Badlapur (including both stations).

Train No. 22178 Secunderabad – Rajkot Express will stop at Wangani station from 04:10 a.m. to 04:20 a.m.

Train No. 11022 Tirunelveli – Dadar Express will stop at Neral station from 04:17 a.m. to 04:27 a.m.

If mail/express or holiday special trains are running late or schedules are changed, they will be diverted as per established procedures.

Functioning of suburban trains during the block period:
No suburban services will be available between Ambernath and Karjat stations during the block period.

21 services will be cancelled late on August 9, 2025 (Saturday).

27 services will be cancelled in the early hours of August 10, 2025 (Sunday).

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Ambernath local departing at 19:42 will be extended to Karjat.

The Thane–Badlapur local departing Thane at 21:32 will be extended to Karjat.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Kalyan local departing CSMT at 22:24 will be extended to Ambernath.

Short terminations:

The Parel–Ambernath local departing Parel at 23:13 will terminate at Kurla.

The Kalyan–Kurla local departing at 21:04 will terminate at Thane.
