Three people were killed and another was injured after two bikes collided with each other in Mumbai's Vasai area on Saturday night (February 22). The accident took place near Suraksha Smart City in Vasai East, when Jiyalal Yadav (60) and Wakil Mahendra (50) were returning from work on scooty and heading towards Vasai station.

The speeding scooty collided with another bike near Vasai Railway station at around 8 pm, which was driven by Rakesh Verma, with Vikas Daud. The impact of the collision was that four of them fell on the road, and three of them died on the spot. Daud sustained grievous injuries from the accident and is receiving treatment from a private hospital in Vasai.

Police sent bodies for the post-mortem report and conducted the investigation. A case was registered against the riders Yadav and Verma for rash driving and dangerous driving.
