Mumbai Traffic Update: No Entry From Gold Spot Junction to Gokhale Bridge in Andheri From April 1 to May 15

Locals of Andheri will face traffic chaos as the last phase of work on the Gokhale Bridge begins. Construction of the last phase from Gokhale Bridge to Telly Gully Bridge has begun, and the bridge from and to Gold Spot Junction-Gokhale Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from April 1 to May 15, 2025. Mumbai Police has issued alternate routes.

According to the advisory issued by the traffic department, motorists travelling from the Gold Spot Junction towards Andheri West via Teli Gully Bridge will use the Teli Gully Bridge eastbound and then proceed to Andheri West via Gokhale Bridge. Vehicles coming from Gokhale Bridge towards the Gold Spot Junction via eastbound will proceed to the junction via Teli Gully Slip Road.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) bridge will undergo concrete construction from the tarred road. After completion, the road will be fully open for traffic. According to the BMC official, only one way is open and being used for two-way traffic.

A resident of Andheri took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his feelings after the closure of Gokhale Bridge.
