Mumbai Weather Today: IMD Predicts 35°C, Yellow Alert Issued for Hot and Humid Conditions on March 23
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast clear skies and warm conditions in Mumbai on Sunday, March 22, with daytime temperatures expected to climb to around 35°C. According to the latest weather update, the maximum temperature in the city is likely to hover near 35°C, while the minimum temperature may settle around 23°C. Such weather conditions are typical during this period, with mostly cloud-free skies and moderate humidity levels. The afternoon hours are expected to feel warmer, while the early morning and late evening periods may remain comparatively pleasant for residents.
Yellow Alert Issued for Monday
The IMD has also issued a yellow alert for Monday, March 23, warning of hot and humid conditions in isolated pockets of Mumbai and nearby regions. The alert also covers neighbouring districts including Thane and Palghar, where similar weather conditions are expected.
In addition, parts of coastal Maharashtra such as Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg have also been placed under a yellow alert for hot and humid weather. Meteorologists have advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to heat during peak afternoon hours as temperatures remain on the higher side in the coming days.
