A 15-yr-old old girl hanged herself as her mother refused to give her mobile, unless she eats lunch. The incident happened under the jurisdiction of Mankapur police station in Waghoba Nagar, Godhni.

The deceased has been identified as Sanskruta Chandrashekhar Singh.

Her father works in railways and mother is a homemaker. She has a brother. She was in ninth class.

Due to online classes, students are often seen with mobile. On April 24, Sanskruta was on her mobile from morning till 6 pm in the evening. Seeing this, her mother snatched her mobile and asked her to eat food first and only then she would get her mobile back.

Due to this Sanskruta got angry and demanded the mobile, but her mom refused. So she got angry and went to the adjoining room and hanged herself.

After discovering this, her mother yelled for help, so the neighbours rushed and brought her down. She was then taken to a hospital in Dhantoli.

After undergoing treatment for five days, doctors informed her family members, that she is dead. The Dhantoli police informed the matter to Mankapur police on Saturday. The Mankapur has registered a case of accidental death. Further investigation is underway.

Third suicide in four days

This is the third suicide by a student in four days. Four days ago, two students from Mankapur and Hudkeshwar committed suicide by hanging themselves.
