The number of active patients, which were more than 70,000 in April and May has now come down drastically.

On Wednesday, the number of active patients in the district were less than 2,700. The number of active patients are expected to decline further in the next few days, according to the medical fraternity.

Meanwhile, 81 new cases were found in the district on Wednesday. The percentage of infected people in the district has also come down to 0.76 per cent as compared to tests. As per the report released on Wednesday, 42 new cases were found in Nagpur city and 36 in the district. Five deaths were reported in the district. These included two in the city and three from outside the district. For the third day in a row, no deaths were reported in rural areas.

The number of active patients in the district on Wednesday were 2,676. Of these, 2,163 patients are from city and 513 patients are from rural areas. Of these, 1,071 patients are admitted in various government and private hospitals and 1,605 patients are in home isolation.

Number of tests increased

The number of tests also increased in Nagpur district on Wednesday. 10,635 tests were done in 24 hours. 7,822 tests were conducted in city and and 2,813 in rural areas. There were 8,926 tests in the district on Tuesday.
