The AAP here on Saturday released "Lage Raho Kejriwal" as the theme song for the 2020 Delhi Assembly polls, which "talks about emotions of the people of Delhi".

Dadlani, who stood by the AAP through thick and thin, had also composed the party's campaign song '5 Saal Kejriwal' for the 2015 Assembly elections.

The song showcased the sentiments of the people about Arvind Kejriwal and also the key achievements of the AAP government.

"The AAP campaign song 'Lage raho Kejriwal' is out. Wish I was there to sing it with our family of volunteers," tweeted Dadlani.

While Kejriwal thanked Dadlani for the song, Manish Sisodia said the song was not only the voice of the people, but would become the theme song of Delhi for the next five years.

"The last five years, we worked relentlessly for the people of Delhi. Today, wherever we go in Delhi and meet people, they tell us how happy they are with the clean governance of the AAP," Sisodia said.

The 2.52-minute song is in line with the party slogan for the elections 'Acche Beete Paanch Saal - Lage Raho Kejriwal'.

Sisodia said it was not just a slogan, but the emotion and love of the Delhiites for the AAP. "This song has the blessings and support of the people. Dadlani has composed and sang the song. For the next 30 days, this song will resonate with the people of Delhi."

Recalling the launched of '5 Saal Kejriwal' in the last election, Sisodia said it was a huge hit. Even today people use that song on many occasions, he added.

Sisodia said 20 teams would perform on the song and hundreds more would be created in coming days. "The teams will perform on the song in all the streets, markets and gatherings."

The 2015 track said, 'Arey poori bahumat de ke toh dekho, aam aadmi ki taakat dekho' (Give full majority to see the power of common man). The AAP went on to win 67 of the 70 Assembly seats.
